Lokomotiv Youth Team On Training Camp In Bakovka
Lokomotiv youth team are at the club’s home base in Bakovka getting ready for the start of the new season. The conditions here can rival those that foreign camps offer.
The team’s schedule is packed and includes two training sessions a day, three meals (plus a brunch on demand), and a rest. A morning starts with warm-ups in a gym, then the guys go to the pitch where the goalkeepers have been practicing already - their day starts a bit earlier. Perfect turf, space for running and other exercises - what else do you need for an effective training camp? Besides, the the weather has been great: it’s sunny but not hot and that’s just what you want.
Forward Andrey Mostovoy shares his impressions:
‘We’re just getting involved into the process, and the training loads increase every day. Besides we tried to keep fit while on vacation with running and cycling and ordinary exercises.
It’s great here at Bakovka. It has everything that the foreign hotels offer, and even more: a sports centre, great fields, a canteen. Of course, they don’t allow us to go home but anyway it feels great to know you’re on your home land. The free time is never boring - we play pool or watch movies.
We’re actively preparing for the start of the new season. It has never been easy but we’ll make it, I think. As for how many goals I want to score this season, the more the better. I want to be as useful to the team as possible.’
The training camp will feature three friendlies: against the Spartak youth team, Volga from Tver, and another team that will be named later. The training camp will end on July 9.
