Lokomotiv’s Youth Team Play Against Fans

A great football day is anticipated today in Cherkizovo, culminating in Lokomotiv vs Dynamo derby.

Action started at the stadium’s territory already in the morning. The Small Sports Arena had been hosting the finals of the Lokoball-Russian Railways-2015 children competition. Meanwhile, Lokomotiv’s new indoor football pitch was being a venue for a Youth Team vs Fans friendly.

The youth team’s coaches made them company on the field. The ‘teachers’ came out wearing white uniforms with the numbers to their liking. The Railroaders’ juniors dominated the pitch and won the game with a thrashing score. But no one was disappointed – it was a holiday, and the main even was coming! The Fans tried to stand against the pros to the very end, attempting to counter-attack, and even earned applause from coaches for their successful actions.

“The initiative of arranging the match belongs to Lokomotiv Fan Club”, - said one of its members Sergey Gorelikov. - “We have had one friendly already, and made a good contact with Lokomotiv’s Youth coaches. It is a pleasure for the fans, it brings us together with the players. The young ‘Steam-Engines’ have been attracting more and more people to their matches.”

Alexandr Smirnov, the youth team’s striker, thinks the same: “Honestly, I am not very tired. It was cool playing with people who come and support us at the stands. We unite. It does not matter what the final result is. We play for fun!”
Game over, the mock rivals shake hands and head together for the main arena. The splendid football show, going by the name of Lokomotiv vs Dynamo, is about to begin.
