Goalless Draw
Lokomotiv head coach Miodrag Bozovic reshuffled the lineup just a little this time. Baye Oumar Niasse took over as the lone striker replacing Dame Ndoye who had just returned from Africa where he had helped Senegal make it to the Finals of the CAN-2015. Shortly before half-time Lokomotiv set up a chain of promising attacks. Keeper Yurchenko fouled when he handplayed a pass from his teammate. The direct free kick played by Boussoufa and Samedov did not bring any tangible result. Soon Kasaev carried the ball into the box and was brought down by an opponent but the ref saw no problem there.
Immediately after the game restarted, Niasse rushed forward. The Senegalese sped past the last man and took a shot from inside the box but Yurchenko parried.
In a return offensive, Ufa's Paurevic propelled the ball towards the far top corner and missed.
Ten minutes before the final whistle Lokomotiv suffered a loss. The Railwaymen earned another free kick and failed to capitalize, while Ufa picked up the ball and rushed forward. Handzic was breaking one-on-one with Abaev, defender Vitaliy Denisov had to commit a professional foul and was ejected from the pitch.
Nevertheless, Ufa failed to convert this advantage into a goal. The fixture ended 0:0.
