Victory In Samara!

During the first twenty minutes Lokomotiv totally dominated the field. The Railwaymen's striker Dame N'Doye spearheaded all their attacks. In the second minute the Senegalese had a real opportunity but charged the ball slightly off the target. But the next attack proved effective. Grigoriev made a classy pass to Dame sending him one-on-one with the keeper and the Senegalese sent the ball to the upper corner leaving Veremko no chance.

The opener brought even more pressure from Lokomotiv and only by the mid-half did Krylya Sovetov manage to oust the Railwaymen from their box. Although Lokomotiv could have doubled the lead before the break. In the 38th minute Dame N'Doye broke away from the last defender and rushed to the goal but the referee stopped the run out of an unclear reason.

The first half brought just one opportunity for the Krylya. Kornilenko stroke from the edge of the box but Guilherme was confident on the line and grabbed the ball.

Early in the second half Kornilenko had another opportunity to score but sent the ball over the crossbar. Then, in the 55th minute Grigoryan found an opportunity to shoot from within the box but Burlak managed to block the shot and the ball came straight to Guilherme.

An hour into the game, Slaven Bilic made his first substitution exchanging the recently recovered Alexander Samedov for Magomed Ozdoev.

Almost immediately Lokomotiv had a big chance to score, playing a set piece. Denis Glushakov crossed into the box, Vedran Corluka headed on to the far post but Felipe Caicedo needed to be more accurate in the end.

In the 67th minute Guilherme played a long pass to Dame N'Doye but the Krylya's keeper Veremko rushed to the ball from his box and cleared the danger. Six minutes later Glushakov crossed from the very corner, Burlak outhanged his opponent but headed the ball just over the bar.

In the last fifteen minutes Lokomotiv controlled the game. The Krylya's manager tried to refresh attack with substitutions but Loko kept the opponents at bay from their goal and secured a victory!
