Czech Vice-Champions Defeated

The Railwaymen gained the initiative early in the game when they earned a free kick that resulted in a dangerous cross from Denisov. The ball came in the box but the Czech defenders cleared.

Seconds later the Red-Greens set up another great combo: N'Doye played one-two with Maicon and rifled but the keeper parried. Seraskhov picked it up and netted but an assistant had signaled an offside.

Despite Lokomotiv looked better, they conceded first. In the 6th minute a Czech footballer played a long pass to the box where his teammate Rajtoral was quick to secure an opener.

This did not discourage the Railwaymen who kept attacking. Maicon was active on the left flank and earned a free kick played by Fernandes - the Portuguese produced a good cross but the opponents cleared the danger.

Minutes later Lokomotiv tried to attack through the right wing: N'Doye carried the ball into the box and was preparing to take a shot but a defender managed to clear the very last moment.

Thirty minutes into the game, the Railwaymen weaved a great combination in front of the Czechs' area. Fernandes broke away down the left wing and passed to Denisov. The defender heeled on to Miranchuk and the young talent blasted making the keeper try hard to save.

Lokomotiv's summer signing Manuel Fernandes was particularly active. The Portuguese employed individual skills to come out effectively from difficult situations. In the 31st minute Manuel produced a long-range strike that was parried by the keeper.

Late in the half the Railwaymen made several raids to the Czechs' goal attempting to score an finally succeeded. First, Maicon crossed to N'Doye who had a go at the goal but unsuccessfully. Then Fernandes dribbled past several opponents and passed to N'Doye. The Senegalese saw Tkachyov in a better position and made a pass which turned an assist when the midfielder netted it!

In the half-time Leonid Kuchuk substituted 10 players leaving only Sheshukov on. Fifteen minutes later Aleksandr gave way to the young Sergey Makarov.

Early in the second half the Czechs again produced an early goal. Viktoria earned a corner and played it, the ball found Kolar's head and bounced into the back of the net.

It took Lokomotiv 15 minutes to equalize. Aleksey Miranchuk passed into the area where Grigoryev picked the ball and was knocked down. The referee pointed at the spot and Maksim himself leveled the score.

Soon Miranchuk scored himself. The youngster received a pass from Kasayev, moved left and bent it into the back of the net.

In the end of the game Viktoria could have scored another equalizer, had they utilized their free kick better. In a rapid counter-attack Miranchuk had a fat chance to double the lead but was a bit inaccurate on the finishing stage.

Grigoryev set the final score seconds before the whistle. Shishkin tackled an opponent on his half of the pitch and passed to Makarov, the young midfielder made a great pass behind the opposing defenders' backs where Maxim easily rounded the keeper and scored a winner.

After the match the Railwaymen set out for the airport to take a flight to Moscow. Their second training camp will take place in Austria starting July 11.
