Unjust defeat in Saint Petersburg

Lokomotiv could open the score on fourth minute. Denis Glushakov shot with force from the free kick and Malafeev returned a ball with difficulty.

The first fifteen minutes had passed in the equal struggle and the game was being held between penalty boxes. By the way the atmosphere on Petrovskiy stadium was very unusual. Zenit fans did a protest action and kept silent, so one thousand of Lokomotiv  supporters shouted all the stadium down.

The first scoring chance near Guilherme`s goal happened in the middle of the half. Lazovic had fallen after contact with Brazilian goalkeeper and referee showed on eleven meters point. Faizulin kicked in the left corner, however Guilherme made a brilliant save and returned a ball!    

Unforunately four minutes after the ball had crossed Lokomotiv goal line: Danny scored after Lazovich pass. And in five minute Zenit doubled its advantage – Semak hit the target.

In spite of such nightmarish five minutes railwaymen hadn`t collapsed. Glushakov led his team mates and on 38th he scored a goal after beautiful kick from 30 meters.

In the second half Glushakov could score again, but Malafeev had rescued Zenit.

Lokomotiv had been besieging Malafeev`s goal till the last minutes and even Guilherme came for the corner in additional time. Railwaymen were very close to equalize, but the ball after head strike from Da Costa had passed in few centimeters from the post.

In absolutely equal game Lokomotiv had lost to the leader of premier league.
