Nemanja Pejcinovic At The Museum

The Lokomotiv defender has hosted the children from the Smolensk orphanages at the club's museum.

In late February, Lokomotiv organized a futsal tournament in Smolensk. Some orphanages and correction schools teams took part. The children were delighted, many of them were Lokomotiv supporters.

After that, the children were invited to attend Lokomotiv's League home game. Before the game, they were taken on a tour around the stadium. It was their first time at Cherkizovo, and they couldn't hold their emotions.

The main part of the event was the meeting with the Serbian defender Nemanja Pejcinovic. At first, the museum's director told the little visitors about the history of the club and its achievements. Then Nemanja took over.

Pejcinovic spoke Russian. In just half-a-year here he learned the language well, although the defender still says he needs a tutor. Nevertheless, he quickly found a common language with the shy children.

Nemanja readily answered all of the questions. The Serb told about his childhood, his early days in football, and what difficulties he had to cope with.

'For a long time, I played football in places not fit for that. I couldn't even dream about a turf. One day I got seriously injured, and my father made me learn football professionally with a coach and in good conditions - that's the only way you can develop. So if you haven't decided what you want to do in life, I recommend football. But you have to understand you're going to face difficulties. Overcoming them, you grow stronger. Set a goal and go to it. And don't forget about school studies' - said Pejcinovic.

The talk smoothly passed to a photo session where anyone could take a picture with Nemanja. The children were happy. Many said it was like a miracle for them.

But that wasn't a miracle, just another event at the museum. We hope the children not only experienced good emotions but also learned something really important for them.
