Lokomotiv Turns 80
On January 12th 1936 the Statute of the Lokomotiv Sports Society was adopted. This initiated the creation of different teams in all sports under one brand name. This day is special for us. A jubilee is a good cause to remember achievements, and we achieved a lot.
In these 80 years Lokomotiv has been through all kinds of things, through ups and downs. A milestone that served as a benchmark for every new generation of players was Lokomotiv' first USSR Cup. Later the Railwaymen won many significant trophies, both before and after the collapse of the Soviet Union. We believe there's a lot yet to come. And of course, Lokomotiv's main asset is its fans all across the country.
The FC Lokomotiv management is delighted to congratulate the fans, the staff of the club, and the FC Lokomotiv Sports Society and all the Russian Railroads staff on this great holiday.
