Denisov Best Left Defender in the League, Miranchuk Best Hopeful

The Executive Committee of the Russian Football Union have drawn the results of the season, naming winners in 33 nominations.

The Best Hopeful nomination, given to U-21 players, goes to Aleksey Miranchuk. Season-2013/14 has been his second in the main squad. The young talent made 8 appearances and scored his second goal.

Lokomotiv's Vitaliy Denisov topped the list of the League's best left defenders. The Railwayman has made 24 appearances, scored a goal and made six assists.

Five Lokomotiv players were runner-ups. Roman Shishkin was named the second-best right defender, Vedran Corluka and Jan Durica came second on the list of right and left central defenders respectively, Aleksandr Samedov was voted the second-best right midfielder, and Dame N'Doye was a runner-up in the Best Left Forward category. Our club is the second-most represented in the chart.
