Well-known Ludogorets And Good Old Friend Dujmovic

On Friday Lokomotiv held a training session before a friendly against Ludogorets from Bulgaria.

The coaches bore in mind the upcoming game and didn’t give the players too much hard work. Lokomotiv former midfielder Tomislav Dujmovic came to see his team who greeted him warmly.

- I’m on a trip to Austria and came to know Lokomotiv are staying here. I didn’t have a minute’s hesitation and rushed to see the guys. I have mixed feelings, both nostalgic and happy about the meeting, - says Tomislav.

- How are you doing? Do you want to join and practice like in the good old days?

- No, I hung up my boots in December, and quit training. Everything has its time. I’ve had a second baby and now it’s hard to live by the schedule. Currently I’m finishing my education in Sports Management and I feel more like it than being a coach. Although who knows…

- Do you follow Lokomotiv regularly?

- Every day. I read news and the Russian sports websites. I was happy when the guys won the Cup. I told them then they have to claim the League title.

- Are there many familiar faces in the team since you left?

- There’re many new ones. But I talked to Igor Cherevchenko, Jan Durica and many other players and the staff.

Lokomotiv’s head coach Igor Cherevchenko spilled the beans on the goal of the forthcoming game:

- We are going to reinforce what we had been working on during the training sessions, - says Cherevchenko. - It’s like a tradition already, we know this team well, it’s not the first time we’re playing against them during a training camp. We view this game only as another practice and our squad will not be optimum.
