Yuriy Syomin: My congratulations on the advancement to the Final!

Lokomotiv head coach Yuriy Syomin has summarized the Russian Cup semifinal game against Ufa (1:0).

- I congratulate the supporters and the players on the advancement to the Final. Both games against Ufa were difficult and equal. It's always hard to win two games in a row against the same team. Plus, Ufa are in good shape and very competent in defensive play. I liked it that we were one, we fought to get the result we needed. I am happy with all the players.

- Were there episodes that upset you?

- A coach is always unhappy with something, but let's just celebrate the advancement to the Final.

- How did you like the Farfan-Ari duo?

- We were planning that they would find understanding and build pressure on the opponents' goal but something went wrong. We didn't have that much possession in midfield. That's why I decided to substitute Farfan for Tarasov, a more defensive player. Besides, we had been one up by that point.

- Why did you change Ari?

- He had some troubles with the calves. In the second half he found his pace but I feared to aggravate the discomfort, and Maicon's appearance had been planned anyway.

- How did you like Margasov's debut?

- He played pretty well in defence but I think he can do better.

- What's with Ignatyev and Mykhalyk?

- Ignatyev has to do a medical check. Of course his injury made things worse for us. Mykhalyk was hit badly but showed character and saved us in the end. Not every man would continue playing in this situation.

- When will Corluka return?

- It is possible he will play in the next match.

- Kverkvelia is becoming Lokomotiv's new leader.

- Georgians have always played well at Lokomotiv. When a Georgian comes, Lokomotiv wins something. That's why we invited him (smiles).
