Syomin: We didn’t recover after the Zenit game

Loko’s Head Coach Yuriy Syomin explained why team lost to Sheriff in Europa League.

– One of the main reasons of the lost is that we didn’t recover from the Zenit game. Everyone has played below his level of performance. Sheriff did a good job in terms of physics and they were faster than us on every section of the field.

– It seems like after the Zenit game and before the CSKA match on Sunday you should’ve rotate the squad. Why you didn’t do that?

– When everything’s going ok, you don’t want to make changes. But today we included fresh Tarasov in the Starting XI. Guilherme’s injury has played a negative role – after it lads were a bit bewildered.

– Can Marinato play with CSKA?

– I really doubt it. He’s got a hamstring and there’s only two days before the game. But everything can happen.

– Is Éder also injures?

– Yes. And he’s got the same injury.

– Lokomotiv are still winning against strong teams and lose to underdogs.

– I’ve already told we didn’t recover from the Zenit game in a good manner. Our injuries were caused due to it as well.

– The game vs CSKA is on Sunday. Will you recover well?

– We’ll rotate the squad. Speaking of situation the group that everything’s at our hands. We have to win two games, it will be really hard though.
