Lokomotiv Defeat Orenburg

Lokomotiv were stronger than their hosts in Gameweek 10 of the Russian Championship. Krychowiak and Barinov made the difference again, Smolov scored off the spot, and the Portuguese link Joao Mario – Eder sealed it with a winner.

The Railroaders set up the first fruitful counterattack in the 10th minute when Krychowiak carried the ball along the flank and crossed to Barinov who headed it home from a very good spot in the area.

Lokomotiv found the chance to double the lead early in the second half. Joao Mario earned a penalty, Smolov used the opportunity. Orenburg made the gap minimal again through Rogic who netted after a cross in the 70th minute.

Late into the game both teams scored a goal each. First it was Eder who headed it in off a free kick played well by Joao Mario; at Orenburg, it was Kulishev who made use of another cross from a flank.
