Rybus and Krychowiak made their Euro-2020 debuts

Poland national team played its opening match at the European Championship. In the first round its opponent was the national team of Slovakia. The match was held in St. Petersburg and ended with a victory for the Slovaks – 2:1.

Lokomotiv defender Maciej Rybus has begun in the starting line-up, made an assist and was substituted in the 74th minute. Midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak, who also started the game in the first eleven, was sent off midway through the second half.

After the victory, the Slovak national team leads Group E. In second and third place are the teams of Spain and Sweden, which have not yet played their match. Poland national team is at the 4th place.
