Dismantled Amkar

Compared to the previous weekend, both coaches had to bring in some new people to their top 11. At Lokomotiv, the defence lacked Vedran Corluka and Taras Mykhalyk, and the midfield saw no Mbark Boussoufa - all three received a one-match ban due to exceeding the yellow cards limit. They were respectfully substituted by Taras Burlak, Dmitry Tarasov and Magomed Ozdoyev. Yan Tigorev was off for Lass Diarra who has done his sentence after receiving a red card two gameweeks ago. As for the Perm Krai team, they had to pick subs for Breznanik, Rebko, Kanunnikov and Cherenchikov.

The hosts claimed the ball from the starting whistle and capitalized on possession in the seventh minute. Renat Yanbayev received the ball on the left, worked it to his right foot and crossed to N'Doye who nodded in easily.

After this the Railwaymen pulled back to their goal but the defence worked right, clearing dangers. Several times they managed potentially dangerous counterattacks. In one of the episodes, Aleksandr Samedov lost his marker and passed into space to Maicon but the defenders cleared the very last moment.

By the mid-half, the Railwaymen had wasted another good chance. Samedov pierced Amkar's lines, ran into the box but failed to strike. N'Doye picked up the ball and shot at the top corner but missed just a fraction.

Amkar changed Gadzhiyev for Kayumov who soon gave Ilya Abayev a chance to demonstrate his skill. Peev passed and the freshman hit it first touch but Abayev smothered the ball.

A minute on, Lokomotiv punished Amkar for their recklessness. Tarasov tackled an opponent near the box, passed to Ozdoyev on the right, and Magomed played a low cross. N'Doye wanted to drive it in and didn't reach the ball but Maicon was there to score a left-footer!!

Just before the break Tarasov had a fat chance to score his fifth goal this season. The defensive midfielder headed goalwards after Samedov's cross from a corner but Narubin chose the right position.

Just as the second half kicked off, Amkar suffered a loss. Manager Stanislav Cherchesov was sent off for misbehaviour.

Without further delay, Lokomotiv made the score big. Samedov mistimed his pass but the ball eventually went to Shishkin who made no mistake.

Have settled a comfortable score, the Railwaymen calmed down and gave away the initiative which could have been dangerous be it not for Abayev who did his job perfectly.

Twenty minutes till the final whistle Kuchuk made two substitutions bringing in Felipe Caicedo and Roman Pavlyuchenko. This proved effective: minutes before the end Samedov made a great cross to the box and SuperPav hit it first touch scoring a wonderful winner!

This big win brought Lokomotiv back to the second line in the table.
