Draw Against Amkar
Lokomotiv have drawn against Amkar in Gameweek 24 of the ROSGOSSTRAKH Russian Premier League.
Those who arrived early for Amkar were able to sample our traditional pre-match entertainment activities. The main attraction this time was Dream Team. Five lucky ones won a ticket to the VIP Box with a fantastic view of the field and superb service.
Meanwhile midfielder Vladislav Ignatyev started an autograph session that gathered a big crowd. Vlad not only signed posters but also took pictures with everyone.
Amkar are a hard nut. Especially this season when they look incredibly solid. They had been defending until the middle of the first half but their very first promising attack proved effective. Bodul had been marked by four men but nonetheless he found an opportunity to head the ball in.
Immediately after that Amkar pulled almost all of their men behind the ball. Nine players moved back to defend their box leaving the lone Bodul up front. Nevertheless, Lokomotiv equalized before the half-time whistle. The duo of Miranchuk and Ari continued producing goals, this time Ari assisted - he worked a cross from Yanbaev and passed to Miranchuk who made no mistake.
The Railroaders had to double the lead before the break through Ari. The Brazilian had two opportunities - first, he broke one-on-one and only Konde's last-minute tackle saved Amkar; soon he had to net a cross from Maicon but failed.
After the break Lokomotiv managed to go on with the same aggression. On 54 minutes Fernandes played the ball into the box from a corner kick, Corluka headed it on to the far post where Tarasov netted in style with a spectacular header.
Two minutes later Ari and Miranchuk came to prominence again. The Brazilian passed to space in the box where Alexey was in a position to score but was brought down by the keeper. The referee pointed at the spot and Fernandes converted from a penalty. 3:1.
On 61 minutes, the referee awarded Amkar a penalty, but was a clear mistake. Kverkvelia tackled the opponent in the box legally but the latter fell down and both heard a whistle. But the defender never touched his vis-a-vis. Nevertheless, Bodul was quick to score a brace.
Last minutes of the match were awful for the home side. Corluka got seriously injured and had to be carried off the pitch. On 88 minutes Amkar leveled capitalizing on a chaos in Loko's penalty area. 3:3.
On Wednesday, Lokomotiv will travel to CSKA.
