Lysov: My debut? Only the win matters

Lokomotiv midfielder Mikhail Lysov made his debut in the Russian Premier League in a game against Arsenal from Tula (1:0). He shares his emotions on air on #OurCherkizovoLIVE.

- I still can't believe I was given playing time, especially in such an electric match. Thanks to the coach for this opportunity - I still can't realize it.

- Did you find your feet soon enough?

- As soon as I made it on the pitch. The teammates encouraged me and I felt easy. I wasn't nervous. Was told to play forward more, and help in defence.

- So, did you do well?

- I wouldn't say so. We felt tired late in the game. I'm not sure whether it's psychology or mere fatigue after the Super Cup but Arsenal had several chances.

- Did you realize your chances to be fielded were quite high?

- I did, but I'll say it again: I still can't believe I was handed playing time. Our fitness coach Sergey Alekseyev called me up and Yuriy Syomin told me my plan was to play forward. It's very important that the team won in my first game!
