Lokomotiv Hold First Training Since Return From Vacation

Lokomotiv players have taken to the pitch again after a vacation to hold their first practice.

The squad started arriving at the club’s arena well ahead of time: the coach’s whistle was still some 20 minutes away when the whole team had already gathered at the park. The guys spent a while exchanging the latest news, shared their emotions from the holiday, and entertained themselves with passing squares.

– We are all in a fine mood now, – says the sun-tanned Aleksey Miranchuk. – Full of new energy and, more importantly, mentally refreshed for the training process. Surely, we did not just loll around during this holiday - swimming laps, running, working out.

– But have you recuperated?

– We sure did! I, for one, travelled to the seaside and then met my brother Anton who visited Moscow for a couple of days. Afterwards we went to Estonia together. Tallinn is formidable! The city looks beautiful, and my brother has great living conditions.

Loko’s session ran simultaneously with the Euro-2016 England vs Wales encounter. They are the Russia squad’s group B rivals. Our national team’s performance was one of the key conversation topics.

The team did not forget another significant event – the wedding of Petar Skuletic, which had been celebrated a few days ago in Serbia. The teammates gave him a hearty applause in congratulation.

We should also mention that the Railwaymen’s side welcomed back goalkeeper Miroslav Lobantsev, who had completed his loan period. Besides, the junior players Georgiy Makhatadze and Dzhamshed Rakhmonov joined the main team’s training.

For the days to come the team will stay in Moscow and get ready for the next season. On June 26th they are to play away against Istiklol FC from Tajikistan in a pre-season friendly.
