Lokomotiv Sign Aleksandr Sheshukov

FC Lokomotiv have signed a deal with FC Rostov midfielder Aleksandr Sheshukov. The player will wear a #8 t-shirt.

Head of the Selection Department Kirill Kotov is commenting on the transfer:

- Following the injuries of Dmitriy Tarasov and Yan Tigorev we needed an experienced midfielder. Sheshukov will help us boost competition in midfield. He's a real box-to-box player and has everything to help Lokomotiv reach the season goals. So Aleksandr is adding up muscle in midfield.

Player's Bio

Aleksandr Sheshukov was born on April 15, 1983 in Omsk. Teenager Sheshukov was considered as one of the most talented players of his age. The 17-year old midfielder made his debut at Spartak Tambov's main squad and soon made his way to Spartak Moscow.

Due to the high competition at Spartak Sheshukov didn't have enough playing time and made an on-loan move to FC Sokol. When the loan ended Sheshukov moved to FC Luch-Energiya and helped the Vladivostok team upgrade to the top-flight.

After several years at Luch-Energiya the player was invited to FC Moskva where he spent a year alongside with Dmitriy Tarasov.

When FC Moskva withdrew from the competition Sheshukov returned to Spartak Moscow for two years. In 2012 Aleksandr moved to Rostov and has appeared in all games of the current championship.
