Cherevchenko: It is nice to start with a win

Lokomotiv head coach Igor Cherevchenko has summarized the game against Mordovia (1:0) of Gameweek 1.

- It is nice to start with a win. The guys looked good physically, which means we worked right during the training camp. Had Skuletic not scored, we would have built up pressure even more. I am happy with the result. The game will pass, the result is what remains. As for Mordovia, it is a good team. I think they will get on the big teams’ nerves.

- Boussoufa and Fernandes never came in.

- There’s a regulation on foreign players in place. Samedov and Tarasov couldn’t play. Our choice was pretty limited.

- It looked like Lokomotiv’s starting pace was slow.

- The chances started appearing in the second half. I think the astroturf is the reason behind it. You have to get used to it.
