Lokomotiv lost to Akhmat
As Barinov, Miranchuk and Zhivoglyadov were all out injured, Lokomotiv had to change the squad for the match against Akhmat. Magkeev took a place in the midfield, Kamano made his first start for the team, Lysov was brought in to the left back position. His last appearance was last summer.
Akhmat is one of the most convenient rivals for Lokomotiv. They have won 17 out of 28 matches against Akhmat, and did not suffer a single defeat in 13 matches at home. However, Andrei Talalaev's Akhmat is a separate story. With the new coach, the team was sixth after four games.
Lokomotiv players went on the pitch wearing shirts in support of Dmitri Barinov, who tore his cruciate ligaments in the game against Spartak. The shirts contained the wishes of the fans, which they left on our instagram page.
Before the game there was a minute of silence - the long-term director of our stadium, Lyubov Vasilievna Shamikhina, died a few days ago at the age of 68.
Akhmat started the match with so much energy. In the second minute, Timofeev had a go from distance and forced Guilherme to make a save. On the third, Iljin ran away from Murilo and converted a one on one chance.
While Lokomotiv was waking up, the guests could have scored the second goal. Ponce burst into the central zone from the wing and tried his luck with a long shot. The ball hit the post.
After that, Lokomotiv finally joined the game. First, Eder had a shot from a close range - Shelia made a good save. Then Lysov, tried to cross the ball, but it almost went in under the crossbar - the goalkeeper was again reliable and pushed the ball out for a corner. Soon Krychowiak started a counter attack and gave the ball to Kamano, who sent it over the crossbar from the edge of the box.
Akhmat’s second goal was a gift from Lokomotiv. Guilherme made an unsuccessful pass to Krychowiak from the goal kick, and Akhmat players made three passes before Timofeev put the ball into the net from ten meters.
During the break at the flash interview, Anton Miranchuk noted that it is very important to score an early goal in the second half. He was able to fulfill this task himself. After the break, the coaching staff brought on Kulikov and Lisakovich, who immediately earned a penalty. Danya passed the ball to Vitali, who forced Shelia to foul him, and Miranchuk converted the penalty.
Lokomotiv continued to pressure, but again they conceded a stupid goal after a defensive error. Berisha was forgotten on the left wing, and the Albanian simply could not help but use such a gift.
In the 63rd minute, Akhmat was down to ten men. Bystrov brought down Eder near the box and got a second yellow card. Miranchuk shot from a free kick hit the crossbar.
13 minutes before the end, Lokomotiv got one goal back. The brilliant Lisakovich crossed the ball to the far post, where Krychowiak headed the ball past Shelia. For the rest of the game, Lokomotiv occupied Akhmat’s half of the pitch, but failed to score an equaliser despite numerical advantage. For the first time in history, Akhmat took away all the three points from Cherkizovo.
