Syomin's Belief In Players

Yuri Syomin's Press Conference after Lokomotiv beat Rubin 1-0 in Cherkizovo thanks to Farfan's late goal:

– The match was tense.There weren't so many moments, but there was a fight for result from both teams. I'm grateful to the guys that they were able to rebuild their game after the first half, which we completely lost. In the half-time we made some changes. It's good that the team reacts so quickly to bad situations. We reacted to it and deservedly won the second half and got three hard-working points. Matches against the leaders of the leaguewere easier. In addition, after Khabarovsk game, we struggled in terms of freshness.

– Did you believe in victory at the last minutes of the game? Or you've already thought that it'll be a draw?

– I believe in my players. It is most important. We coudn't do anything with Rubin in the first half. They were ahead of us in every moment. But in the second half Lokomotiv played in a different way.

– Why has Anton Miranchuk been replaced?

– Anton is played well, but there is a limit on foreign players, and we had to rebuild the scheme.

– What about Koryan this season?

– He's injured.

– Any news on Mykhalyk?

– I really doubt that he'll play this year. He has muscular injury. But we must pay tribute to Taras. Mykhalyk is ready to enter any position and in any condition and won't spoil the picture of the game. He's a real role model, player with a character. If Taras doesn't play, then he has a nasty injury.

– Many compare the Lokomotiv with Spartak last season.

– Don't compare us with Spartak. We're Lokomotiv.

– Luck is for someone who deserves it. Why we shouldn't have some luck? Are we doing something bad? We play fairly. Our players don't break the rules.
