FC Lokomotiv considers as inadmissible the action of its midfielder Dmitriy Tarasov after the final whistle of the Europa League round of 32 game against Turkey's FC Fenerbahce.

The organizer of the tournament does not allow its participants to demonstrate any images whatsoever, even if those carrying positive messages. Any kind of political, ideological, or religious propaganda is banned on the territory of football and we at FC Lokomotiv side with UEFA regarding this issue.

Unfortunately, the club's staff could not prevent this incident from happening: the player did not tell anyone about his plans. Dmitriy's own initiative has proven inappropriate and harmful for the club as well as for himself.

Dmitriy Tarasov is going to be subjected to a disciplinary sanction according to the terms of the contract between him and FC Lokomotiv.
