Tarasov Becomes KFC Tournament Envoy

Lokomotiv midfielder Dmitriy Tarasov has become the official envoy of the KFC International Futsal Tournament 2015.
Dmitriy’s main task in the new capacity will be the popularisation of the youth sports and turning the public eye to the healthy and active lifestyle.

‘We’ve been pondering for a while who of the active footballers could become a real example for the participants, and who could give them momentum to start improving. Dmitriy is a bright model of a modern Russian player. He loves football, and his desire to play against all odds really inspires. ‘The spirit of the idea of the KFC Tournament is very close to my heart. It allows the kids who kick the ball in the yard test their skills, and gives them the opportunity to realise their potential. I often remember myself as a boy who played street football till late and dreamt about big victories. We didn’t enjoy big support at that time, but today there’re people in Russia who are ready to invest in mass sports. It’s really cool when your hobby can grow into something bigger, because the talented guys will have the opportunity to practice at a foreign camp. There they will be able to develop their talent. I’m sure such initiatives will help our country grow a healthy and sports-loving generation’ - says Dmitriy Tarasov.
