Shishkin: We beefed up our play in the second half

Lokomotiv defender Roman Shishkin has joined #OurCherkizovoLIVE to comment on the game against Krylya Sovetov.

- You have to understand that we were playing pretty tired. We had had a hard game against Sporting and then a long flight. Yes, it was difficult, but quite natural for some European and Russian teams to play in such regime. We can easily operate at this pace.

The first half was not very successful but in we beefed up our play in the second half, and chances started to appear. We are improving our positional play and defence play. Second position? Now it’s not the right time to talk about our goals. We’re harvesting points, and will see how much we’ll have by the end of the competition.

- The Russian Cup is a very serious tournament. We’ll try to defend the title this year. Probably, the coaches will use rotation due to the packed schedule.
