Lokomotiv Drew Level With Fortuna

The Germans ran for an early goal. Schmidtgal went for glory from a distance sending the ball wide.

The Railwaymen responded when Maicon entered the area from the left and centered but the keeper Rensing intercepted. Five minutes later the Brazilian again sought for a chance trying to press the keeper who cleared the very last moment.

Lokomotiv tried to play wide, and the next attack came from the right. Seraskhov passed to Tkachyov whose long-range attempt missed the target.

Lokomotiv heavily relied on their right wing for some time, and even the centre forward N'Doye moved actively around Fortuna's area. Dame managed to earn a free kick about 25 metres from the goal but Fernandes's cross was inaccurate.

In the middle of the pretty dull half F95 suddenly shook the crossbar. In a rapid counter attack the Germans delivered the ball to Guilherme's box and tried to nod it in but failed to find the net.

Soon Corluka played a long cross to the left flank where Maicon picked the ball and centered to N'Doye but not accurately enough. The Senegalese tried to reach the ball anyway but couldn't.

The start of the second half brought hope for some thrill. Fortuna delivered the ball through the left flank and charged at the goal where Guilherme stopped it.

Minutes later finally came an opener. Anton Miranchuk picked the ball in midfield, rounded two opponents and made a through pass to Tkachyov in the box who made no mistake netting it first touch.

Soon N'Doye had a chance to double the lead. The forward dribbled several defenders and took a shot but the ball went over the crossbar.

Ten minutes before the end the team from Dusseldorf played two corners in a row. While they failed to capitalize on the first attempt, their second try proved effective: Soares headed it in.

The following attacks brought no result and the game concluded in a tie.

On July 21st Lokomotiv will face one of the oldest German clubs Greuter Fürth.
