The match of missed chances

The start of the game was very eventful. Lokomotiv scored on the 4th  minute. Roman Pavlyuchenko received the ball on the left side, moved to the centre, played one-touch pass with Viktor Obinna and shot to the lower corner of the goal!

Alania equalized in three minutes. Anton Grigoriev headed the ball to the net after corner.

Railwaymen tried to restore their advantage and had a few scoring chances. But Alania defender Hozin kicked out the ball from the goal line after Maicon kick and Obinna hit to the goal bar.

Lokomotiv continued its pressure and on the 33rd minute scored the second goal. Pavlyuchenko made an ideal pass to Maicon, who found himself in front of the goalkeeper and forwarded the ball the net!

Only few minutes had passed again when Alania equalized – Tomas Priskin headed the ball after cross from the left wing.

Lokomotiv actively started the second half, but Homic was good.

To increase the pressure on Alania goal Slaven Bilic put two fresh strikers on the pitch: Felipe Caicedo and Dame N’Doye. For Senegalese it was the first match in Lokomotiv shirt.

Both strikers had a few scoring chances but Homic returned all the balls.

The last minutes of the match were very dramatic. On the 84th minute referee showed the red card to Dudiev who played very roughly against Magomed Ozdoev. During the additional time Lokomotiv got a chance to score from the 11 meters point after Anton Grigoriev handed the ball in the penalty area. Denis Glushakov kicked to the left corner but Homic forwarded the ball to the goal bar.
