"We could have won with a bigger score"
After the derby in Ramenskoe came to an end, defender Jan Durica and captain Alexander Samedov commented on the game.
- This stadium used to be my home for three years, so the feeling is nice. We won, - said Durica. - The whole team fought hard because Lokomotiv have to stand higher in the table.
When we saw the condition of the turf we knew Torpedo were going to rely on long balls. They did so, especially late in the game when their tall strikers came on. But we were ready for that, and could have scored more. I especially want to point out that a lot of fans came to support us, and I hope it will go on like this.
Alexander Samedov who captains the team the fourth consecutive time said the game was uncompromising.
- We had to be faster, stronger and more patient today to win, - said Alex. - We knew we wouldn't have many opportunities in this game, so we had to treasure every one. We kinda managed it. It's impossible to play football on this pitch, there must not be such fields in the League. But I want to thank our fans who ignited us and pushed us forward to get this victory. They really helped!
