Felix Ledesma Joins Real Madrid

Lokomotiv fitness coach Felix Ledesma, a Spanish national, is joining Real Madrid. Today was his last day at Lokomotiv. Felix had received an offer he couldn’t refuse. He is moving to Real Madrid.

- I am thankful to all the people at Lokomotiv for the joint work. I think the season was good for the team and for me personally. It was interesting and very useful. Here I found great friends and colleagues, Fabio Capello invited me to work with the Russia national team. And of course the happiest moment for me was when we won the Russian Cup.

- Tell us more about Real’s offer. They are not a routine here.

- Rafael Benites was appointed the manager just recently, and he invited me to be part of his team. It was both pleasant and unexpected. I met Rafa at Liverpool, and we worked well together there. On Monday I talked to president Olga Smorodskaya and explained everything. She understood me. Real is Real.

- How did the team react?

- They guys are happy for me. Of course, they are joking. Asked me to say hello to Cristiano Ronaldo. No problem. This weekend I start working at Real Madrid. Then my new team are going on a tour in Asia.
