Syomin: I'm delighted with my players
Lokomotiv head coach Yuriy Syomin talks to a press-conference after an away win over Rostov in Gameweek 11 of the ROSGOSSTRAKH Russian Championship.
- It was an equal game. Rostov are hard to beat, they are an aggressive team who put a lot of pressure. They had more time to recover after a Cup game. I'm delighted with my players. They were able to recover in a very short time and created a lot of chances in the last minutes, they were passing the ball around and were winning tackles. I think we were rewarded for that. Rostov had opportunities, too, but I saw no major problems in front of our goal.
- After one of the previous games Valeriy Barinov criticized Eder. How did you like his performance today?
- I wouldn't call a player neither good nor bad that soon. People like calling things black or white. Eder came on and scored. He did what a striker needs to do, he saved us in a very difficult time. If there wouldn't have been a tall forward in the box, there would have been no goal. But of course Eder still needs to work a lot.
