Samedov: Refereeing? It’s a mess-up
Lokomotiv midfielder Alexander Samedov summed up the Gameweek 29 tilt with Zenit (1:1) within the Russian Premier League, and spilled the beans on the refereeing.
- The blame for the last minutes’ argument rests with the match-officiating crew. It’s a mess-up, the scourge of the League. Footballers have to withstand so much criticism, but just look at what the refs are doing in the run-in.
- Was the penalty against Lokomotiv legal or not?
- The proper name for this penalty is a ‘mess-up’. The player in question attempted to lunge for the ball, head first. The judge pointed to the spot. When asked what the foul was, he gave reasons that were simply ludicrous.
