Barinov Helps Russia Beat Spain
Russia U19s have beaten Spain at Euro-2015.
Lokomotiv midfielder Dmitriy Barinov’s equalizer in the 37th minute took the team back into the game. Another Railroader Sergey Makarov played full time, forward Rifat Zhemaletdinov came in late into the game.
After the match Dmitriy shared his impressions with Lokomotiv’s Press Service.
‘I have very positive emotions. Spain were considered as favourites and we got pumped up for the game really well. They said we need to show ourselves well with them, so we played to win. The Spaniards are very technical and control the ball well. There was nothing new in their play, we had analyzed their style before the game.
As for my goal, it was a trained combination. A pass to the wing, I ran forward, took a shot and scored. On Monday we’re playing our last group stage match against Germany. I hope we will win and advance to the semifinals’.
