1+1. The Tarasovs.
In the new section of the ‘Nash Loko’ magazine called ‘1+1’ we’ll tell you how our players meet their namesakes, communicate and find common interests. On the evening of April 2nd, midfielder Dmitriy Tarasov met his full namesake Dmitriy Alekseyevich Tarasov at the Vagon Bar. Dmitriy Tarasov is the personal fan of Dmitriy Tarasov.
Dima the Fan has been supporting Lokomotiv since 2002, and later started following Dmitriy Tarasov. He says he even keeps the article from a newspaper which documents Tarasov the Player’s first start in the Premier League. He immediately started taking interest in his performance - the fan never doubted there’s something more to them than just the name. They even sprained their ACLs almost at one time.
Three years ago the Tarasovs met at the museum for the first time. Our midfielder was a bit surprised to see the full namesake and asked a passport for a proof, but the fan didn’t have it on him that day. Nevertheless, Dmitriy took his word for it, and promised to give him his jersey after the next game. But they never found each other then.
However, Dima remembered the namesake who had no passport and delivered on his promise. Now the fan brought his ID, and the player brought a FIFA’15 disc, so the two played a PS. Tarasov scored for Tarasov against Real on Santiago Bernabeu.
