Victory Over Mordovia In The Closing Game Of The Season

The Railwaymen started off actively, creating their first opportunity in the 2nd minute of the game. Alexander Samedov crossed to Jan Durica but the defender missed the target.

Eight minutes later Samedov could have scored himself. Maksim Grigoriev broke through the left flank, rounded two defenders and centered. Samedov shot but missed just a fraction.

Anyway, Samedov made it to the screens. In the 17th minute Mordovia's defender Bozovic tripped Samedov in the box, the ref pointed at the spot. Alexander made it himself, scoring an opener.

Six minutes later Lokomotiv doubled their lead. This time Samedov assisted. The cross from Alexander was sharp, and N'Doye just needed to be accurate, and he was. 2:0.

Well into the half, Lokomotiv continued pressing their opponents and Dame N'Doye should have made the score big before the break. Plus, Grigoriev had a fantastic opportunity in the 44th minute. The midfielder broke one on one with Yurchenko, made a spectacular chip shot but the ball bounced off the crossbar.

Mordovia never really threatened Guilherme's goal in the first half. Only once did Ruslan Mukhametshin manage to kick a flying ball but the keeper saved.

In the second half Lokomotiv also looked stronger. In the 49th minute N'Doye broke one in one with the keeper but Yurchenko managed to clear. In the 55th minute Samedov crossed to Dmitry Torbinsky who sent the ball goalwards but missed. Four minutes later Torbinsky had another chance to score but his header failed to turn a goal.

Last twenty minutes were poor in opportunities. Lokomotiv controlled the ball, Mordovia couldn't invent anything up front. Roman Pavlyuchenko who replaced Dame N'Doye had a chance to score. In the 75th minute Samedov passe to Roman who decided to shoot from a distance but the ball went wide.

Mordovia responded in the 85th minute with a dangerous set piece. Guilherme strethed out to tip the ball away. But in the last minute of the game, Mordovia did manage to score, making it a more descent 2:1.
