Nikolic: I want to see a confident team

Lokomotiv head coach Marko Nikolic spoke about the upcoming game against Atletico in the Gameweek 4 of the Champions League group stage.

- Atletico recently beat Barcelona. Did you watch this game? Have you seen something new?

- I did, but Atletico played differently in this game. They prepared specifically for Barcelona. I don’t think they will use the same formation against us. The match with Barcelona and the game against us are not connected with each other. There is the Spanish championship and here is the Champions League, where there are only six rounds.

- Does the fact that Suarez will not play affect Lokomotiv's preparation for the match?

- I want to talk only about our team. I'm sure we're ready. It was a difficult game in Moscow, but now we know the opponent even better than before the last match. I want to see a confident team on the pitch with discipline and tactical awareness every minute of the game. You can't play without discipline. In the Champions League you need to be disciplined every second of the game against such team. If you are, the result will be positive. Atletico is a high-quality and experienced team that has been playing at a high level for many years, but we have chances. The truth is always on the pitch.

- What result will be positive for you?

- I answer this question before every match. If you think about a draw, you will lose. I want to believe in victory. But whether we will win or not, I can not say.

- Is Magkeev ready to play?

- He came with us. Whether he will play or not - wait until tomorrow.

- Many people said that Lokomotiv will surprise Atletico in Moscow. Is there something to surprise with now?

- I don't think we played super well in that match. The games against Salzburg and Bayern were better. But we got points against Atletico. This is not such bad news. If tomorrow we play 20-30-50 percent better, the result will be positive.
