Insulting Defeat of Defending Champion

On 17th minute of the game Zuber went through Lokomotiv defending but was stopped by clean as a whistle tackle by Jan Durica. However the referee saw the foul and appointed the free kick. Keisuke Honda came to the ball and powerfully threw the ball to the near corner. Guilherme had no chances to stop it and in addition got injured hitting on the post.

After conceding a goal Lokomotiv gave the initiative to CSKA but continued to make own chances in front of away team’s goal. Alexey Miranchuk had a real goal attempt, but instead of own shot young midfielder made a pass to Alexander Samedov: pass was wide.

In the second half Railwaymen attacks became more intensive. Dame N’Doye, who substituted Roman Pavlyuchenko, went one on one to Akinfeev, but goalkeeper was first on the ball.

15 minutes before the end the real drama broke out in front of CSKA goal. At first Mark Gonzalez knocked down Taras Mykhalyk in the penalty area. Samedov came to the mark and kicked to the right corner but Akinfeev made a brilliant save. Samedov went to shoot off corner kick and made a pass to Dmitriy Tarasov, who smashed the ball into the net!

Next corner in the match backed the leading score to CSKA. After lobbed pass from the corner kick Dario Kresic, who forcedly substituted Guilherme in the middle of the second half, missed the ball, CSKA striker Doumbiya kicked to the post, and Musa finished it to the net.
