Nikolic: Zenit finished all its chances
Lokomotiv’s head coach Marko Nikolic reflects on the Super Cup game against Zenit (1-2).
- Congratulations to Zenit on the victory. They were a little more experienced than us. They finished all their chances. We played well, but we need to be more decisive in the final third. The game turned out to be interesting for the fans, there was a good atmosphere at the stadium. I am gutted that we did not win, but otherwise everything was fine.
- How would you rate Anton Miranchuk's performance?
- I never comment on individual performance. Football is a team sport. Even if there is criticism, it remains in our changing room.
- Now the stadium can host up to 50% of the fans from the capacity. Did you feel the difference today?
- Of course. I really like when there are lots of fans at the stadium. Immediately after arriving in Russia, I said that football without fans is not football. The more fans at the stands, the more motivated the players are. I hope that in the future more people will be allowed in the stadium. I would be happy if they allow one hundred percent soon. But 50% is better than playing with no fans at all.
