Two goals ruled out by VAR and missed penalty on 95th minute. Lokomotiv and Sochi played to a 0-0 draw.

Before the game against Sochi, Lokomotiv lost a number of key players. Marinato Guilherme had a cramp in the last game, so the manager decided not to take any risk. Dmitri Barinov missed the match due to a hip injury. Maciej Rybus didn’t recover in time for today’s game. Ignatjev was serving suspension. As a result, they were replaced by Kochenkov, who took the place in goal, Idowu and Zhivoglyadov on the wings, and Kulikov played in midfield along with Krychowiak.

Sochi arrived in Cherkizovo on a six game unbeaten run. Although Sochi was in relegation zone back in winter, now they feel comfortable in the middle of the table and even have a chance to get a place in the Europa League.
Both teams started the game with a good tempo and were quite aggressive. By the 16th minute Zaika put Anton Miranchuk and Zhemaletdinov on yellow cards. Both players had good chances in the first half. First, Rifat was one on one with Dzhanaev, but he hit it strait at the keeper.

A few minutes later, Anton fired a good shot from the edge of the box, but Dzhanaev made a good save. Lesha picked up the rebound, passed it to Eder, who scored in the empty goal, but referee called it offside.

On the 30th minute, Eder scored again. This time Anton put the Portuguese one on one with the keeper, who finished his chance perfectly. However, after the referee reviewed the episode the goal was cancelled due to offside.

At the end of the half, Anton created another chance for Eder. This time there was no offside, however Dzhanaev was a step ahead of our striker and knocked the ball out from under his feet.

In the first ten minutes of the second half, Sochi did not possess the ball at all. The guests defended with the whole team. Nevertheless, Lokomotiv did not create much in front of Sochi’s goal.

Lokomotiv was able to unlock Sochi’s goal on 92nd minute. Rybchinskiy headed the ball to Suleymanov and Timur struck the ball under the crossbar and used the famous Zaza Janashia celebration to commemorate his first goal. However, after the referee reviewed the replay, the goal was disallowed.

Lokomotiv still should have won this game. On 95th minute Tsallagov brought down Krychowiak in the penalty area and the referee pointed to the spot. However, Lesha Miranchuk could not convert the penalty and hit the post.

On Wednesday, Lokomotiv will face Spartak. The team will be without Krychowiak, as he got his 8th yellow card today.
