Three Goals In 90th Minute. Loko Lose To Atletico
Lokomotiv were close to opening the score in the 8th minute. Petrov was knocked down just outside the area, Baraboshkin took a free kick but shook the crossbar. Atletico’s goal at the end of the first half looked really illogical. Ivankov won the aerial battle in his area but the ball landed in Salido’s feet. The latter’s attempt was poor but luckily for him his teammate Teguia helped the ball into the net.
Either team hardly had opportunities throughout the second half, with one correction: Atletico used their only chance. Riqelme approached the goal in the 68th minute, dribbled past Ivankov and sent the ball straight into the upper ninety from 17 metres.
The culmination came in the last minutes. When it looked like Lokomotiv had no chance to get back into the game Chernyakov crossed into the area from a free kick, and Osnov sent it home. In the next attack, Karev crossed to Khlynov who leveled the score.
But the miracle didn’t happen. Our defender Chyorniy made a mistake on the flank where he was immediately separated from the ball by two of the opposition players who broke one-on-one with the keeper and Riqelme scored a brace.
