Eder Scores In His First Game At Lokomotiv

Lokomotiv have finalized the training camp in Austria with a thrashing victory over Ankaran in a friendly.

A week-long training camp in Austria has concluded with a friendly against Ankaran, the team that lost 10:0 in a previous friendly against Loko. To be fair, that squad was made up entirely of the players on trial.

The drawing card of the match was the first appearance of Eder. The Portuguese started, and proved his value. The striker received almost every pass, made attempts and set up for the partners.

A duo of Eder and Fernandes worked fairly well. Many effectively set up for the countryman on 17 minutes but the ref cancelled the goal, calling it offside. However, in the very next attack Lokomotiv were lucky. Eder played one-two with Koryan, and the youngster made no mistake, scoring an opener.

In the middle of the first half the two Portuguese were rewarded for their persistence. Fernandes crossed to the area where Eder won an aerial duel and doubled the lead - 2:0. Soon Manu scored himself off a backheel pass by Kasaev.

Early in the second half we conceded. Kochenkov was helpless against a curved ball. Soon after that, Yuriy Syomin fielded his youngsters: Galanin, Galadzhan, Kulikov and Andryukhin. Just 11 minutes on Galanin scored a winner fron an acute angle, chipping the goalkeeper in a spectacular way.

Lokomotiv are coming back to Moscow in a good mood. On the weekend we're hitting the road to Grozny to see what the local Akhmat have up their sleeve.
