Loko Juniors Mauled Peers From Samara

Lokomotiv entertained Krylia Sovetov in the ninth weekly round of Youth championship.

Compared to last matches, this time the red-green squad lined up their men differently. After a small injury, Kipiani came back on track. Barinov was to appear again in the starting XI. Our back lines were somewhat experimental: Shadrin, fullback, shifted from his designated assignment to the left wing, while midfielder Makhatadze took a position in the centre of defense.

The first half was dominated by the Railwaymen. The hosts covered all zones and pressed hard, posing numerous threats to the Krylya’s keeper. And in the 22nd minute the team scored an opener - a logical reward following all the attacking efforts. Barinov found Zhemaletdinov in the penalty area, and Rifat slipped the ball across the face of the goal into Galadzhan’s path, the latter putting his side one up. It was Artem’s six goal in seven field appearances. Ten minutes on, Kipiani received the ball in the box, took on a defender and fired neatly into the far corner. 2:0

Nearing the break, both Galadzhan and Kipiani had chances to notch the hat trick, but drew good saves from Krylia’s keeper.

In the second half Lokomotiv controlled the game again, with shots coming from Miranchuk, Kipiani and Galadzhan. The visiting team had difficulties resisting. The third goal was spectacular: Zhemaletdinov got a cross pass from deep inside, rounded two defenders and beat the keeper.

Close to the end, two of our subs proved effective. First, Rubtsov picked up a cutting pass from Anisimov and scored. Three minutes on, Dorofeyev smashed the ball from the box line and racked it up 5:0.
