Alexander Samedov signs contract with Lokomotiv
On June 27, 27-year-old midfielder Alexander Samedov signed a four-year-contract with Lokomotiv.
Samedov is one of the best right midfielders in Russia. His coming to Loko will definitely boost the team's potential, as Alexander played perfectly for Dynamo, - says Head of Selection Department Kirill Kotov. - Having signed this contract we won in a competition against several Russian top-clubs who also were chasing him. I hope Alexander will continue improving in Lokomotiv and become a leader of the team.
After three-and-a-half years at Spartak, in summer 2005 Samedov moved to Lokomotiv. Having spent three years with the Railwaymen, Alexander won bronze medals of the Russian championship twice and won the Russian Cup 2006/2007.
In summer 2008 Samedov joined FC Moskva. Those 1,5 years in Vostochnaya street were very successful and after they ended Samedov became a part of Dynamo Moscow.
The last two seasons at Dynamo are considered as the best in his career. Alexander became a vital part of Dynamo and was invited to Russia national team in autumn 2011.
In the latest season of the Russian championship Samedov became the Best Assistant and had one of the highest Goal+Assist Indices in the league, with 6 goals and 14 assists.
Samedov was also listed among 33 Best Players of the Russian Premier-League in the season 2011/2012, and became the top right midfielder of the championship.

Alexander Samedov was born on July 19, 1984 in Moscow. He started learning football in the school of Spartak Moscow and made his first appearance for the Red-Whites at the age of 18.After three-and-a-half years at Spartak, in summer 2005 Samedov moved to Lokomotiv.
