Yuriy Syomin: I didn't swear in half-time
Lokomotiv's head coach Yuriy Syomin explains how his team beat Spartak in a Moscow derby.
- We didn't deserve losing 0:2 in the first half. Those goals were our fault, we didn't use our own chances. In the second half Anton Miranchuk and Vitaliy Denisov became a solid reinforcement, we changed the tactics and score an early goal. I am thankful to the guys who didn't give up and fought till the end.
- Lokomotiv secured two spectacular victories over Spartak and CSKA but were pretty dull against Arsenal and Tosno. Why do you play better against leaders?
- It has to do with the concentration for a particular game. We talk about it a lot, and are working on it, but the problems remain. Still a lot to be done.
- Did you watch the replay of the episode when Miranchuk fouled at Glushakov? Don't you think he deserved a red card?
- I watched the replay of an episode with Luiz Adriano and Tarasov in the Super Cup, and I think the Brazilian deserved a red card.
- What did you tell the team in half-time?
- I didn't swear. We were doing well in the first half, except for the two episodes. We simply changed our tactics, started making more passes and using wings.
- Why did you sub off Tarasov and Rybus?
- Tarasov has got a minor hill cord injury so we decided not to take a risk. As for Rybus, we had to change the tactics.
- How did you like Farfan?
- He is an amazing player who can fill in any position. I imagine how great he used to be when he was young. Today Jefferson played well and was useful.
- What's wrong with Barinov?
- I hope he's going to be okay.
- Are Lokomotiv and Zenit the main contenders for the title?
- We are moving steadily from one game to another, and not making plans.
