Lost out to Spartak
Lokomotiv youth team lost to Spartak during Gameweek 6 of the Russian football championship.
The game got off to an unlucky start for the Railroaders. As early as on 13 minutes of play, a free kick from the corner caused a scramble in our penalty box in which Mamin opened the score. Most of the first half action happened in the middle third with a rare outing up front, so the number of chances created between the two sides was limited.
Before the half-time whistle Lysov received a cross from the flank and fired on target. Spartak keeper saved his team. In the next attack the hosts made it two up through Tsygankov, who found himself clean on goal following a wall pass on the rim of the penalty area.
After the break Spartak pressed high up spurning several chances and once even thumped the bar. Lokomotiv held the line of defence very well. However, in terms of crafty offensive, there was nothing impressive but a goal attempt by Galadzhan. The Railwaymen succumbed 0:2.
