Green kit is the best!
On July 16th, Lokomotiv and their partners adidas presented their new kit for season 2015/16.
Since late May the Russian fans are looking forward to the start of the new season. What are they interested in during the break? Transfer news, friendlies results and their favourite team’s new kit.
Some clubs present it on their official websites, the others make use of the home stadiums. Lokomotiv went further and presented their new kit developed by adidas in the Railway Museum.
The purpose behind the choice of the venue was to demonstrate the alloy of the ambitions and traditions that unite Lokomotiv and the Russian railways. The famous guests and loyal fans were demonstrated an impressive panorama: massive steam locomotives, endless railways leading beyond the horizon, the Ostankino tower in the sunset… Such was the atmosphere of the presentation of the new kit by adidas.
Then, at a certain time a steam locomotive produced a majestic whistle and thick steam squirted from under its wheels. The host of the event, the brand voice of the 2014/15 Russian Cup Final, Roman Trushechkin declared the presentation open. Unexpectedly for the guests, the players appeared, the guys who are going to represent Lokomotiv in Season 2015/16 in Russia and in Europe. Goalkeeper Anton Kochenkov came out first wearing a purple outfit.
Then came Alexey Miranchuk wearing white - this year it will be a reserve colour. The brand stripes on the sleeves reminded of the rails. The midfielder looked concentrated remembering of the high status of the event.
Alexander Samedov was wearing the home kit featuring a traditional red T-shirt with green insets, and green shorts. These are our colours that we hope will bring us victories.
‘The uniform is super - stylish and comfortable! I’m looking forward to make an appearance wearing it. I think there will be no problems, all jerseys are great - but I like the green kit most’, - said Alexander.
The fans have been waiting for the return of the green kit for many years, and here it is! Lokomotiv’s captain Vedran Corluka demonstrated an emerald-green uniform with dark-green insets. This will be Loko’s away kit this season.
‘I like all kits. They are all great - the red, the green and the white ones. But the green uniform is just the best! Jersey swap? If an opponent gives me theirs in exchange, I’m okay with it. But I will charge them extra for a green one’, - smiles Vedran.
The guests of the event, the famous football commentators and experts, Lokomotiv veterans and the fixtures of the Family Area received the new kits from the players’ hands. Then came the autograph signing, lots of selfies and the informal communication. It looked like the guests were impressed by the new kit by adidas because it dominated every conversation.
We take this opportunity to remind you that on Friday Lokomotiv will present the new kits during the meeting with the fans at the Lokomotiv Stadium. Everyone will be able to buy them.
